You are considered a transfer student if you have taken any post-secondary courses after high school graduation — this includes college, university, and vocational coursework. Transfer students must submit academic records from all schools attended, including ESL programs. (Students on F-1 visas who wish to transfer from a school within the U.S. to KU should review International Student Services’ transfer-in policies.)

If, after high school, there was a period of time longer than three months that you were not enrolled in any educational program, you must write a short statement about your activity during that time. If you attended courses of any kind, include that information.

Earning readmission

If you previously earned grades as a degree-seeking KU student, you must apply for readmission. In addition to the application requirements listed above, you must account for your post-KU activity, describe it, and provide official transcripts of any schools attended since KU, proving good standing at those institutions. Readmit students observe these deadlines:
